Reviews and Recommendations of the First“Guangzhou International Award for Urban Innovation”

Abstract: Through founding the award, Guangzhou is deeply involved in the discussion of international urban innovation, accumulating a number of advanced experiences, as well as consolidating and enhancing its international influences. However, it exists some weaknesses on the award issuing, and should be improved from the following five measures:（1）deeply recognize the strategic value of the award;（2）strengthen the authority and sustainability of the award;（3）transform and promote multiple values of the award;（4）build an advanced postmodern city of Guangzhou through deap development;（5）establish a security system for the international award.
