1　General Provisions

1.0.1　This Code is formulated not only to standardize the process design of welded-pipe mill sets and assure the quality of process design concerned，but also to promote the advancement in technological process，equipment outfit of the welded-pipe mill sets and the production technologies for welded pipes.

1.0.2　This Code is applicable to the process design of construction，modernization and expansion projects of mill setsfor production of longitudinal high-frequency longitudinal welded pipes，longitudinal submerged-arc welded pipes，spiral submerged-arc welded pipes，and industrial stainless steel welded pipes.

1.0.3　The welded-pipe mill sets to be constructed，modernized or expanded shall conform to the national industrial policy and meet the requirements for high quality and efficiency，low consumption，and environmental protection.

1.0.4　The process design of the welded-pipe mills shall comply with not only this Code，but also the requirements specified in the relevant national standards in force.
