9　Survey the Underground Pipeline

9.1　General

9.1.1　After detecting of underground pipelines，survey of underground pipeline shall be done according to the following procedures and specifications:

1　Compilation of the technical design scheme.

2　Establishment of survey control network.

3　Pipeline point survey and data processing.

4　Compilation of the underground pipeline exploration diagram and underground pipeline exploration deliverables.

5　Compilation of the pipeline exploration report.

6　Acceptance of deliverables.

9.1.2　Technical design scheme shall be compiled before survey operation of underground pipeline.The technical design scheme should include the following:

1　General condition of the survey area.

2　Purpose，assignment，scope and requirement of the survey work.

3　Analysis of the existing survey control information in the survey area.

4　Method and technical specification for control survey and pipeline point survey，data processing，preparation of deliverables.

5　Quality assurance system and specific measure（s）.

6　Manpower organization，contributory plan for instruments and equipment.

7　Operation schedule.

8　Safety measures for underground pipeline survey operation.

9　Submission of deliverables.

9.1.3　The survey of the underground pipeline shall include the following:

1　Control survey.

2　Pipeline survey.

3　Inspection for quality of survey deliverables.

9.1.4　During survey of underground pipeline，the exploration sketch of the underground pipeline in the survey area，attribute/spatial data of underground pipeline exploration，the information of existing survey control point and basic scale topographic map shall be sorted and analyzed.The basic scale topographic map shall be digitalized.

9.1.5　The establishment of survey control network，and the survey and revise of basic scale topographic map shall meet the specifications in the current applicable professional standard SH 3100 Specification for the Engineering Survey in Petrochemical Industry.

9.1.6　The accuracy for plane position and elevation survey of pipeline points shall comply with the specifications in Article 3.0.22 of this Code.

9.1.7　The survey of underground pipeline trench shall comply with the specifications in Article 8.2.6 and 8.2.7 of this Code.

9.1.8　After survey of underground pipeline，the underground pipeline exploration diagram shall be compiled and the underground pipeline exploration deliverables shall be filled out.The preparation of underground pipeline exploration diagram and underground pipeline exploration deliverables shall meet the requirements in Chapter 10 of this Code.

9.1.9　The safety specifications for underground pipeline survey operation shall comply with the specifications in Section 8.5 of this Code.
