4　Site Selection and Plan Layout

4.1　Site Selection

4.1.1　Site shall be selected in accordance with the local general planning and enterprise planning，and meet the requirements of environment protection，fire protection and flood protection requirements.

4.1.2　In site selection，landform and topographical，environmental and meteorological conditions shall be considered site shall not be located in unfavorable geological and hydrogeological areas，and good drainage conditions shall be available.The design criteria of flood protection at site shall not be less than 25-yearreturn period.

4.1.3　The station site shall be properly selected to use the available existing utilities such as traffic，telecom，wastewater treatment and fire fighting facilities，and should be located near to railway station to facilitate railtrack connection.The design elevation of site shall be favorable for lowering the quantities of earth works.

4.1.4　Safe spacing from rail tank car cleaning station to surrounding buildings/structures shall be no less than those specified in Table 4.1.4.

Notes:1　The start and end points for calculating safe spacing shall be in accordance with specifications in Appendix A.
2　The safe distance from rail tank car cleaning station operated by railway administration authority to class Ⅰ，Ⅱ，Ⅲ and Ⅳ railways shall be no less than 15m.
3　The fire separation spacing from rail tank car cleaning station operated by petrochemical enterprises to the surrounding buildings/structures shall be in accordance with the current national standard GB 50160，Fire prevention code of petrochemical enterprise design.
