3　Process and Equipment

3.1　General Requirement

3.1.1　Newly constructed or renovated blast furnace must install PCI facility.

3.1.2　PCI shall be applied with high air temperature，and oxygen-enriched blast should be used.

3.1.3　Coal shall be chosen from the following types:anthracites；and among bituminous coals，meager coal，non-caking coal，long flame coal，meager lean coal and weakly caking coal（caking index≤40）.

3.1.4　PCI shall use coal according to the actual condition of local coal resources，and may use blended coal as well as either anthracite or bituminous coal alone.

3.1.5　PCI facility should use direct injection，and shall be placed close to the BF in the general layout.
