Section 2: Setting Up Your Instance and Asking Questions of Your Data

In this section, you will learn how to set up Metabase. This includes connecting to the various databases and data sources Metabase allows and building your data dictionary (adding metadata to the columns of your tables). You'll also learn about all the core functionality of Metabase: questions, the various visualization options, dashboards, pulses, collections, adding users and setting permissions, and using the SQL editor.
