How it works...

The brightness property accepts a value from 0 to 1.0, which goes from least bright to most bright. Note that the NeoPixels on this board can be very bright, and they can strain your eyes if you look at them directly at the highest level of brightness.

I recommend that you set the brightness level to 10%, as this makes viewing the pixels more comfortable. Then, depending on the project, you can tweak the brightness to the most appropriate level.

There are times when the pixels will be underneath a thin covering of plastic and you will want to increase the brightness level. On the other hand, there will be times when you will be directly looking at them and you will want to decrease the brightness level.
