Asset

The Asset service comprises a REST API layer, a query engine, and a graph database. It allows for creating, updating, and storing asset models describing asset properties and relations between assets, and other elements, in a model. Having created an asset model with the service, you can add your instance data to it in the JSON format.

The service comprises the following features:

• Enhanced security for safe data management
• Advanced analytics based on time series asset data collected from sensors
• Audit history, enabling users to track the operations of creating, updating, and deleting assets and modeling elements
• A scripting engine to define domain-specific business logic for calls to the service
• Data in the JSON format aggregated via a REST API or generated via a user interface

The service can help to enhance performance asset by tracking their changes throughout the life cycle. Based on the audit history, an asset holder can identify components that need to be replaced. Then, the specifications included in the asset model as instance data can be used to choose a proper replacement or an acceptable alternative.
