Incorporating micro-interactions in the UI
Micro-interactions are simple UI animations that convey a message to the user while they are interacting with the website. These micro-interactions can be functional by guiding the user through a series of steps to complete a task, or can be for purely entertainment value. A functional micro-interaction is a real-time visual validation when a user enters a new password, or a grayed out submit button for an online form, that only activates when the user has completed all the fields.
Probably some of the best known micro-interactions are Facebook reactions, which have replaced the static like button on posts. This little feature offers the user instant gratification as the UI responds with a simple animation and also reinforces the emotional connection with the user.
