This standard is designed to revise the former standard of the People s Republic of China for the Telecommunication Industry-YD 5026-96 Installation and Design Standard for Cabling Duct in the Transmission Room of Long Haul Telecommunication according to the requirements of“Notice on the Plan for Revision and Development of Telecommunication Project Construction Standards”of the Ministry of Information Industry（XINBUGUIHAN〔2004〕No.508）.

This standard mainly specifies the design requirements for installation of cabling duct in the telecommunication room in the non-earthquake fortification zone and cabling duct reinforcement requirements.It covers steel cabling duct and aluminum alloy cabling duct.

Provisions herein printed in bold type are mandatory provisions and must be implemented strictly.
