Dr. Zhang Ying , associate Professor, Department of composition, Zhejiang Conservatory of music. She has studied piano playing and composition since childhood and graduated from Wuhan Conservatory of music and Shanghai Conservatory of music. In 2014, she received a doctorate in composition from Shanghai Conservatory of music. Her works are of various genres and have been performed in various places. In 2017, the piano trio Black and white Stones toured in nine cities in China, and then the music score was published by Shanghai Conservatory of music press, the work was included in the piano trio CD collection Spring of West Lake. In May of the same year, Black and white Stones was selected into the chamber music concert Wind Love wave of BMMF world new music festival and Beijing Modern Music Festival. Her piano solo work Schwebende Wolken was selected into the international master class and concert sponsored by the Swiss cultural foundation, and premiered by the famous Japanese pianist Yukiko Sugawara in Saint-Maurice, Switzerland. Erhu Concerto Continued Growth was selected into the China National Arts Foundation large-scale stage drama Qiantang River Tableaux project in 2018, and performed in Forbidden City Concert Hall, Beijing Concert Hall, Hangzhou Grand Theater, etc. In March 2019, she was invited by UNESCO to participate in the conference of international women composers held in France. The string work Yunxi Painting Environment was selected for the project supported by Zhejiang provincial Culture and Art fund in 2019. Chamber music work Dust premiered at Hangzhou Modern Music Festival in 2020. She collaborated with Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, NZ Trio, China Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra, Zhejiang Song and Dance Theater Chinese Orchestra, Suzhou Chinese Orchestra and other orchestras, and her works have won wide praise.
