On Scent of the Green Mango

Scent of the Green Mango is one from the series of works named with Asian tropical plants by Xiaogang Ye.This work has been conceived in 1996, but not finished yet until now.The other works from the same series include Enchanted Bamboo, Hibiscus, Datura, Ecstasized White Poppy, and Gardenia, etc.In this work, the composer shows his sensitivity, particularity and complex heart owned by a musician of Southern China origin.The work also reveals the composer’s preference to the comparison of shadow and color, and his gratitude and sorrowful feelings to the nature for granting human beings the refreshing fragrance.
