3.2 Pole Span Distance and Pole Position Measurement

3.2.1 Pole span distance selection.

1 Engineering design shall select a standard pole span diantance according to the pole load and load zone of passing through area and geographical environment;standard span pole distance may be selected from the nominal pole span distance range in the Table 3.2.1.

Table 3.2.1 Nominal pole span distance range unit:m

2 Long distance pole span and flying line pole span.

1)When the Pole span distance of aerial optical(copper)line exceeds 25% of the standard pole span distance,it may use a construction method of long distance pole span;

2)When the pole span distance of aerial optical(copper)line exceeds 100% of the standard pole pan distance,it may use a device of flying line.

3.2.2 Pole position setting shall be in accordance with following requirements:

1 Measure the pole position by the standard pole span distance;

2 The pole position shall be selected on the sites with better solid soil,no collapse around and avoiding amassed water or flooded,etc;

3 The pole position shall be located in the sites of convenient construction and maintenance;

4 When the soil is not stable enough or the spacing distance between pole and other buildings do not meet specified requirements according to the standard pole span distance to select the pole position,the pole position may be appropriately moved forward or backward,pole span distance should not exceed the allowable specified deviation after pole position be moved,when the pole span distance will exceed the allowable specified deviation,it shall be dealt with"long distance pole span";

5 If the poles need to set on the sites where the soil is not stable enough,reinforcement of pole root base and protective measurements of pole position shall be considered.

3.2.3 Spacing distance between pole position(including overhead construction on pole)and other underground or ground infrastructures shall be in accordance with those specified in Table 3.2.3.

Table 3.2.3 The minimum horizontal clearances between pole line and other infrastructures

Note:When the terrain is restricted,spacing distance is allowed to be reduced appropriately,but the safety spacing distance is no less than ground height of pole,in individual sites,if it can not meet requirements,the corresponding protective measures shall be taken.
