1　General

1.0.1　This code is established to regulate the action of chimney construction and acceptance，ensure the quality of chimney construction，and achieve the advanced technology，safety and usability，as well as the economical rationality.

1.0.2　This code is applicable to the construction and acceptance of brick，reinforce concrete and steel chimney.

1.0.3　The chimney construction shall be in according with the design documents.

1.0.4　New technology practice is encouraged during the chimney construction.The new technologies shall be tested and appraised，and specific regulations shall be established before promotion.

1.0.5　The chimney construction and acceptance shall be complied with，not only the requirements stipulated in this code，but also those in the current relevant ones of the nation.
