Summary
The user story map tells the whole story of a solution to the user's problems or needs. It is composed of cards containing user stories and atomic functionality pieces that are valuable to the user. The user stories should be independent, negotiable, valuable, estimable, small, and testable: INVEST.
The map is used to facilitate the conversation, achieving shared understanding with the power of four amigos. With the help of the narrative flow, you can create the map easily on a wall with sticky notes, or digitally with any software you prefer. Story tests will be your reality check, the confirmation of the user story map.
In the next chapter, we will gain a deeper understanding of our users, create personas for them, and finally a journey map, one of the most iconic user experience deliverables.
